Brides galore!

sep10weddings.jpgThis year’s photoshoot was held at Powis Castle.

As you can see from the pictures of the print version of this month’s magazine, Powis Castle was the perfect setting for this year’s bridal photoshoot.

With its stunning interiors, internationally acclaimed collections and outstandingly beautiful gardens, the castle provides a unique and enchanting setting for your wedding.

There are five rooms licensed for civil ceremonies, so whether you are looking for a simple and intimate ceremony with loved ones, or a grand occasion to celebrate with all your family and friends, there is the ideal venue for your big day.

Emily Harrison, visitor services manager at Powis Castle, explains: “The largest and most sumptuous room is the Ballroom, with its rich interiors and elegant decoration.

“The intimate Clive Museum displays an exquisite collection of Indian treasures, while the Housekeeper’s Parlour provides a simpler backdrop for smaller weddings. The Orangery is a lovely outdoor option for summer weddings, and the Restaurant can be ‘dressed’ to your own theme.

“Following your wedding ceremony you and your guests can enjoy drinks and canapés, skilfully made by our own award-winning chefs, on the Orangery or Aviary Terraces. Both terraces command stunning views of the gardens and Severn Valley.

“The world famous gardens, with Italianate terraces, formal garden and wilderness areas, provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs.”

Emily adds: “Due to the sensitive interiors at Powis Castle we offer only a limited number of weddings each year, making us one of the most exclusive wedding venues in Britain.”
