This month a new paperback version of the historical novel The Queen’s Sorrow will be launched in leading stores nationwide.
It is Sainsbury’s Book of the Month, Waterstones are also promoting it and it will be in WH Smith and Tesco, building on the success of the author’s previous two works, The Sixth Wife and The Queen of Subtleties.
This is critically acclaimed literature. The Times reviewer wrote of The Sixth Wife: ‘My, what a story . . . utterly compelling”.
Reviewing the same title, The Daily Telegraph praised ‘a love story that is both moving and believable’.
All three stories are romances set in Tudor England. And what makes their success all the more striking is that their author Suzannah Dunn has never read a historical romance in her life.
Shropshire Magazine editor Neil Thomas visited Suzannah at her home in the south of the county to find out more about this latest publishing phenomenon. You can read his interview in January’s magazine, available at outlets throughout the county.
