Shropshire’s Em Eato has gathered together an online boutique, Missy Chango’s, brimming with original, head-turning clothing and accessories – the perfect place to top off your wedding outfit! Here, she picks out some personal favourites
• Cream and Sugar: £55. Gorgeous fascinator/mini-hat made with vintage couture quality millinery flower, an explosion of cream goose biots, and the finishing touch, chenille dot veiling.
This is attached to a large comb, and can be worn anywhere on your head; it looks amazing! It’s a great piece for a wedding, the horse races, or just for when you want to look gorgeous.
• Jolee: £95. This lovely fascinator is made with a vintage French, hand-dyed and hand-curled velvet rose. In the centre is a small cluster of Swarovski crystals. Around the flower is a soft and sweeping combination of white ostrich feathers, ivory coques feathers which have been stripped, and ivory goose biots that have been hand-curled.
The result is bold, but also soft and feminine. It is quite the piece!
• Betty Grable: £110. 1940s-inspired tilt hat, hand-constructed in buckram covered with ivory-and-champagne fabric. There are several bias ruffles, and a large bow gracing the back.
Around the centre top is a small petersham ribbon that has been hand-beaded in clear and champagne Swarovski crystals.
There is a detachable birdcage veil.
The small brim is wired and bendable if you want a different shape. It’s held on with an elastic strap that goes under your hair.
• Miss Cherry Pop: £45. Handmade headband on black satin band, on the side is a double grosgrain black-and-white polka-dot bow and the cutest vintage cherries.
It’s easy to wear, but still has some good girly-goodness!
• Miss Polly Cutie-Pants: £36. Handmade headband on black satin band, on the side is a double grosgrain bow and a blue rhinestone buckle.
You can choose between blue, light green and pink buckles.
• Delicious Deco: £68. Black fascinator made with the highest-quality components. The large black flower is velvet and chiffon, and behind it is an array of black feathers. There are imported emu feathers, hand-dyed (by me) goose biots, and hand-striped (also by me) coque feathers.
The overall effect is just so lovely, glamorous, and simply delicious. It is definitely an attention-grabbing piece, but it is also so wearable. It would be drop-dead gorgeous with your little black dress for New Year’s Eve. Attached to a hair clip.
• Dolly Doll: £60. Cute as a button, precious as a little lamb. This Doll hat is all that and more! A pink Dupioni silk ruffle is built onto a wired buckram frame. The vintage rhinestone brooch adds that final touch of glamour.
This hat, which attaches with a haircomb, can be worn anywhere on your head and it is adorable. Don’t you just want to pinch its cheek?
• Winter White: £55. A plain winter white-wool hat transformed into a lovely cloche with an unusual scultped brim. It is decorated with turquoise sequins, a lovely matching ostrich feather and a gorgeous vintage brooch.
• Couture: £100. Amazing couture hat/headpiece sculpted out of a single piece of slate grey velour wool. It is edged with white petersham ribbon, wired to keep its shape, and the crowning glory is copious amounts of vintage chenille veiling in white. It attaches with an elastic loop.
• Mini Topper: £45. Pretty mini-topper dressed with pale aqua ribbon and cute organza flowers. Can be customised with any colour ribbon.
